About the Role
We’re hiring an Accountant to join our team. We’re looking for a mid to senior level professional with 3 - 5 years of accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage day to day financial and accounting activities independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports.
- Monitor company budgets, expenses, revenues, and cash flow.
- Prepare budget vs. actual analysis and investigate financial variances.
- Support management with financial analysis and performance insights.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Perform bank, account, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure financial reporting is prepared in accordance with IFRS.
- Maintain proper financial controls, documentation, and accounting procedures.
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requirements.
- Support tax, regulatory, and statutory reporting where required.
- Maintain financial information within the company’s ERP/accounting system.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- CMA or ACCA qualification in progress (CMA: At least Part 1 completed or ACCA: At least halfway through the qualification).
- Solid working knowledge of IFRS.
- Hands-on experience with an ERP or accounting system, such as Odoo, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and accounting controls.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fully qualified CMA, ACCA, or CPA.
- IFRS certification or diploma.
- Experience in management accounting and financial planning.
- Previous external audit experience or experience managing an internal audit process.
- Experience within technology, FinTech, financial services, or a regulated corporate environment.
- Experience preparing financial reports and analysis directly for senior management.
