Role Description The Collections Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Amman. The role involves managing and following up on outstanding customer accounts, contacting clients to arrange payment plans, and ensuring timely collection of dues in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of all collection activities, analyzing account histories to identify risks, and collaborating with finance and customer service teams to resolve issues. The Collections Officer will also handle customer inquiries related to repayments, provide clear and respectful communication, and support continuous improvement of collection processes.
Qualifications
- Strong Debt Collection skills with experience in managing overdue accounts and negotiating repayment arrangements.
- Solid Analytical Skills to review account data, assess credit and collection risks, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication abilities to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Foundational knowledge of Finance, including basic accounting and understanding of lending and repayment principles.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Ability to work on-site in Amman and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM or collection systems).
- Relevant diploma or degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; prior micro-finance or banking experience is an advantage.
