Role Overview
The Budgeting & FP&A Manager will lead the terminal’s annual budgeting cycle, financial planning, forecasting and management reporting activities. The role will work closely with all departments to consolidate financial information, monitor budget performance, analyze variances and provide timely financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts across all departments.
- Prepare monthly management reports, including P&L reporting, variance analysis and KPI dashboards.
- Coordinate with operational departments to collect, validate and consolidate budget inputs and assumptions.
- Monitor budget performance and identify material variances, providing explanations and corrective actions.
- Support the CFO in preparing Group ExCom reports and financial presentations.
- Develop and maintain financial models for business planning and scenario analysis.
- Support the review of capital expenditure requests and monitor actual expenditure against approved budgets.
- Maintain and continuously improve budgeting templates and processes.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Support GL/AP and AR teams during month-end closing to ensure completeness of accruals and provisions.
- Contribute to the implementation of financial planning tools and ERP systems.
- Collaborate with Finance and business stakeholders to improve financial planning accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting and management reporting.
- Experience within ports, logistics or infrastructure is an advantage.
- Strong English communication skills are required for Group reporting.
- Arabic language proficiency is required.
