We are hiring an accountant in Jordan who thinks, not just reconciles.
What the work actually is
You will own bookkeeping and month-end work for international clients: daily transaction processing, AP and AR, bank reconciliations, VAT workings, and supporting monthly financial reporting. Every number you post tells a story about a real business, and we expect you to understand that story. If a transaction does not make sense, we want you to stop and ask why, not code it and move on.
You will work directly with the founder, and your work gets reviewed properly, which means you will learn faster here in six months than in three years of routine processing.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience
- Very good to fluent English, written and spoken. This is non-negotiable: our clients, files, and daily communication are all in English
- Sound understanding of double-entry logic. You should be able to explain why an entry is what it is, not just where it goes
- Based in Jordan
What is a plus
- Hands-on experience with Xero or QuickBooks
- Exposure to ecommerce, multi-currency, or international clients
- Arabic is welcome but not required
