General Accountant – Role Summary
The General Accountant is fully responsible for managing daily cash and credit sales, maintaining accurate and complete receipt documentation, and safeguarding the company's daily revenue by verifying and recording all daily transactions across all branches.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for monitoring daily cash and credit revenues and carrying out daily accounting activities, including but not limited to the following:
- Record daily revenue transactions for all branches in the accounting system.
- Record daily purchase transactions for all branches in the accounting system.
- Reconcile daily revenues with related payments, including cash and credit card transactions.
- Verify that all daily cash revenues have been deposited into the company's bank account based on bank deposit slips received from branch managers.
- Maintain regular communication with credit card companies and monitor the daily settlement of outstanding payments.
- Perform daily reconciliation of credit card company accounts.
- Ensure that any employee account invoices or outstanding balances are deducted and collected through the monthly payroll process.
- Prepare and submit a daily report of all branch transactions and accounts receivable activities to the Finance Manager.
- Maintain organized daily accounts receivable records to ensure a complete audit trail of revenue transactions.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager through official email communication.
