Role Description
The Tourism Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Amman, Jordan. This role involves designing and promoting travel packages, preparing itineraries, and advising clients on destinations, transportation, accommodations, and activities. Day-to-day tasks include responding to inquiries, providing detailed travel information, processing bookings, and managing reservations and documentation. The Tourism Specialist will coordinate with hotels, airlines, and tour operators, handle changes or cancellations, and follow up with clients to ensure a smooth travel experience. The role also includes supporting sales and marketing efforts, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the overall growth of Smile Travel & Tourism.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients and partners.
- Candidates should possess Travel & Tourism knowledge, including familiarity with destinations, travel regulations, and itinerary planning.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Marketing skills to promote travel packages, generate leads, and support agency growth.
- Candidates should have good organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in handling bookings and documentation.
- Candidates should be proficient in basic computer applications and reservation systems; experience with travel booking platforms is an advantage.
- Candidates should have fluency in English and Arabic; additional languages are a plus.
- A diploma or degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience in a travel agency or tourism role.
