Tafakkur builds character and critical thinking into the education of children across 30+ countries. We're looking for a Senior HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead end-to-end recruitment and help shape the people practices that support our mission. This is a hands-on role with real ownership for someone who's organized, proactive, and excited to help build something as we grow.
What You'll Do
Talent Acquisition
- Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, from defining job requirements and sourcing candidates to interviewing, offers, and onboarding
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs
- Partner with team leads to understand hiring needs and translate them into effective job briefs
- Continuously improve our hiring process for speed, quality, and candidate experience
- Represent Tafakkur at job fairs, university events, and recruitment drives, acting as a brand ambassador to attract top talent
Performance Management
- Support the design and ongoing management of performance review cycles and goal-setting frameworks
- Support managers in conducting meaningful performance conversations and development plans
- Help identify performance gaps and contribute to actionable solutions
Organizational Design & Structure
- Contribute ideas and input on team structures, reporting lines, and role definitions as the company evolves
- Support workforce planning efforts and help anticipate future talent needs
- Maintain updated, accurate job descriptions across the organization
Team & Culture
- Plan and coordinate team engagement activities, off-sites, and culture-building initiatives
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment
- Act as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns and day-to-day HR queries
HR Operations
- Maintain HR records, contracts, and employee documentation
- Support operational tasks, including onboarding/offboarding, leave management, and policy compliance
- Help develop, document, and refine internal HR policies and processes
- Support leadership with ad hoc operational and people-related projects
Employer Branding
- Contribute to Tafakkur's online presence from an employer branding perspective
What We're Looking For
- 4–7 years of HR experience, with a strong foundation in both talent acquisition and generalist HR
- Proven ability to manage recruitment independently from sourcing to offer
- Experience with performance management processes and frameworks
- Comfortable advising on org structure, roles, and hierarchy (thinking strategically)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; people trust you and enjoy working with you
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities at once
- Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken), with the ability to communicate professionally in either language across all HR and recruitment activities
- Experience in a startup or fast-growing environment is a strong plus
