The Opportunity
Al Salwa Publishers is an award-winning, independent publishing house creating original Arabic books for children and young adults. Our books are distributed internationally and enjoyed by children and families across the Arab world and beyond.
We are now entering an exciting stage of growth, and we are looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Sales Manager to take ownership of our commercial growth and help shape what comes next.

Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a proven sales professional and natural leader who is ready to take on a role with genuine ownership.
You may be coming from publishing—or from another industry entirely. What matters most is your ability to build, grow, lead, and deliver.
You will ideally have:
- 7+ years of successful experience in sales and/or business development.
- A proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets and growing revenue or markets.
- Experience developing and implementing sales strategies that deliver measurable results.
- Experience building teams, establishing processes, and creating sales systems—not simply managing an existing sales operation.
- Strong commercial judgment and the ability to balance growth with profitability.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to move from strategy to execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The confidence and curiosity to open new doors and pursue opportunities beyond existing markets.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Flexibility to travel when needed for customer meetings, events, and international book fairs.
Publishing experience is welcome but not essential. We welcome applications from accomplished sales professionals from other industries who have demonstrated success in growing markets, developing customer relationships, and building high-performing sales teams.
