Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dispatcher role based in Amman. The Dispatcher will coordinate daily vehicle schedules, assign trips to drivers, and monitor ride progress to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs. Responsibilities include handling incoming calls and messages, confirming bookings, updating reservations, and communicating any changes or delays to drivers and customers. The role involves using dispatch and mapping software to optimize routes, manage last-minute requests, and respond quickly to issues on the road. The Dispatcher will collaborate closely with operations and customer service teams to maintain service quality, record trip details accurately, and support adherence to safety and company standards.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills, including clear phone etiquette and professional written communication.
- Proficiency with dispatch or scheduling software, GPS and mapping tools, and basic office applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets).
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with skill in multitasking, prioritizing, and working under time pressure.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to handle unexpected changes, resolve conflicts, and stay calm in high-pressure situations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording trip information, updating schedules, and following operational procedures.
- Familiarity with transportation or limousine operations, local and regional geography, and traffic patterns is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Amman, with flexibility for shift work, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Previous experience in dispatch, transportation coordination, or a similar operations role is an advantage; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and further education in logistics, business, or a related field is a plus.
