Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant position located at Astrolabe Café in Amman, Jordan. The Senior Accountant will oversee financial transactions, ensure accuracy of financial records, and support the team in compliance with financial regulations. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable/receivable, preparing financial reports, budgeting, reconciling bank statements, and supporting month-end and year-end financial processes. The role also encompasses analyzing financial data to aid management in decision-making and maintaining financial integrity within the organization.
Qualifications
- Experience in accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget preparation
- Proficiency in accounts payable/receivable management, bank account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial data and supporting business decisions
- Proficiency in accounting software and excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with Jordanian financial regulations and tax compliance is a plus
