Role Purpose
The Country Manager is accountable for overall business leadership, commercial growth, operational excellence, and people strategy across Jordan and Iraq. The role drives execution of country strategy aligned with regional priorities, ensures sustainable financial performance, strengthens customer relationships, and builds a high-performing organization capable of delivering integrated logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Business & Commercial Leadership
- Define and deliver an effective country commercial strategy to drive profitable growth and market share expansion.
- Identify new business opportunities and strengthen the company’s competitive positioning in both markets.
- Partner with regional product and pricing teams to ensure optimal product coverage, yield management, and utilization performance.
- Drive sales effectiveness, pipeline discipline, and customer retention initiatives.
Operational Excellence & Performance
- Ensure operational execution delivers high reliability, service quality, and cost containment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to standardize and optimize sales, service delivery, and operational processes.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed country targets.
Customer & Market Leadership
- Build strategic relationships with key customers, government entities, and business partners.
- Champion a strong customer-centric culture ensuring exemplary customer experience across all touchpoints.
- Represent the organization in industry forums and strengthen employer and brand presence in the market.
Financial & Governance Accountability
- Manage country budgets, financial forecasts, and cost optimization programs.
- Ensure strong risk management, compliance, and governance practices aligned with corporate standards and local regulations.
- Deliver predictable financial performance and transparent reporting.
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or equivalent required, MBA plus
Extensive experience in the relevant industry is highly valued and considered a strong advantage
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills combined with ability to condense detailed subject matter into clear and effective communications
- Ability to influence and drive change across multiple functional units
- Results oriented, drives issues to closure
- Possesses strong business knowledge
- Adaptable and able to keep the bigger picture in focus while navigating through a complex issue
- Ability to work both independently, as well as and as part of a cross-departmental team where innovative solutions are required.
