Climate Balanced is seeking a Business Development Manager / Specialist to join our growing team in Amman, Jordan.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with a strong technical or sustainability background who can support the expansion of Climate Balanced’s services across ESG advisory, carbon markets, and climate strategy.
As part of our regional growth, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting organizations in their transition toward decarbonization and ESG-aligned operations across emerging markets.
Climate Balanced operates at the intersection of sustainability consulting, environmental markets, and climate finance, delivering high-impact projects across multiple sectors and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across ESG, sustainability, and carbon market services
- Manage client engagement processes from lead generation to proposal submission and contract closure
- Support preparation of technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and bids
- Translate Climate Balanced’s technical services into clear client value propositions
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships and strategic partnerships
- Coordinate with technical teams to align client needs with project delivery
- Track sales pipeline, opportunities, and market intelligence
- Represent Climate Balanced in client meetings, workshops, and industry events
- Contribute to business growth strategy and market expansion initiatives
Candidate Profile
- 3–7+ years experience in business development, sales, consulting, or client-facing roles
- Background in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or related fields preferred
- Exposure to ESG, sustainability, energy, or climate-related services is highly desirable
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Arabic
- Ability to engage stakeholders and communicate technical concepts commercially
- Proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-growing consulting environment
Requirements
- Based in Amman, Jordan
- No travel restrictions (regional travel may be required)
- Have a drivers license
- Immediate or near-term availability preferred
