Accountabilities and Key Roles:
- Execute the Bank’s strategy for the pricing and trading of FCY & JOD in the foreign exchange (FX) and money markets.
- Carry out the execution of JOD spot, forward and money market transactions with financial institutions in order to optimize profits and the Bank’s risk position.
- Communicate integrated pricing for FCY spot and forward and interbank deposits
- Communicate integrated pricing for JOD spot and forward and interbank deposits.
- Deliver USD/JOD FX spot and forward pricing to internal stakeholders including Treasury Sales, Branches and CIB, in order to optimize profits and the Bank’s risk position.
- Invest the Bank’s JOD surplus in a way which balances the Bank’s liquidity risk with income opportunities.
- Invest selectively in sub-1 year JOD securities in order to boost income.
- Ensure that internal and regulatory limits which relate to JOD activity (FX, interest rate risk, liquidity risk, credit risk) are adhered to at all times.
- Analyze the utilization of credit and market risk limits and coordinate the limit management and request processes.
- Deliver FCY spot and forward pricing to internal stakeholders including Treasury Sales, Jordan branches, foreign branches and CIB, in order to optimize profits and the Bank’s risk position.
- Carry out the execution of FCY spot, forward and money market transactions with financial institutions in order to optimize profits and the Bank’s risk position.
- Invest the Bank’s surplus FCY liquidity in a way which balances the Bank’s liquidity risk with income opportunities, optimizing the use of currency swaps and cross currency liquidity management.
- Ensure the full and ongoing funding of AB USA.
- Invest selectively in sub-1 year FCY securities in order to boost income.
- Ensure that internal and regulatory limits (FX, interest rate risk, liquidity risk, credit risk) are adhered to at all times.
- Analyze the utilization of credit and market risk limits and coordinate the limit management and request processes.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Mathematical or Economic discipline from a recognized university.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in this field with a recognized Financial institution.
Competencies:
- Fluency in English – spoken and written
- Very good numerical and analytical skills
- Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Very good knowledge in Treasury products and services.
