Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at our Drupal-based web development company, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality web applications to our clients. You will be responsible for designing and implementing testing processes, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with development teams to achieve optimal software quality.
Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts based on project requirements.
- Execute various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Document and communicate test results and issues to cross-functional teams.
- Defect Identification and Resolution:
- Identify, report, and track software defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Automation Testing:
- Implement and maintain automated testing scripts to streamline the testing process.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration (CI) pipeline.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and user stories.
- Participate in regular sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and testing processes.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of testing standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance, focusing on web development.
- Solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies and best practices.
- Experience testing web applications, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP knowledge.
- Familiarity with Drupal-based technology and content management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in quality assurance and testing.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Previous experience in testing Drupal themes and modules.
- Basic understanding of front-end and back-end development processes.
