What you'll be doing?
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Design, Develop, Manage and optimize data warehouses and data lake architectures.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support business needs.
- Develop and optimize data models to ensure high performance and scalability.
- Partner with other technical teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions for reporting and insights.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring data quality and availability.
- Implement and enforce data governance and security best practices.
- Continuously explore and evaluate new technologies to improve data engineering processes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data engineers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
- Knowledge of data warehouse principles, methodologies like kimball and tools such as Redshift.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases (SQL and NoSQL).
- Experience with data pipeline, ETLs and workflow management tools: Glue, Air byte, DBT, Airflow, Luigi.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python is a preference.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience with version control platforms: Bitbucket.
- The ability to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with cloud services, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
- Strong Project management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with data platform like Databricks, Cloudera.
Plus Qualifications
- Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.
- Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, Lambda, SQS, RDS, etc.
- Experience with docker and container orchestration.
- Experience with Python frameworks for building RESTful APIs such as Flask.
- Experience with analytical tools like power BI.
- Previous work experience in Finance related projects.
- Agile mindset and experience working with agile methodology.
