Job Title: Finance Manager

About the Job
The Finance Manager will establish and lead the core finance function in our newly launched market. This role will focus on setting up and maintaining the local accounting foundation, ensuring compliance with local financial regulations, managing daily bookkeeping activities, and supporting basic budgeting and reporting tasks. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a start-up environment where structure is still being built.
Key Responsibilities:
1- Accounting & Financial Setup
· Set up the local chart of accounts, accounting systems, and bookkeeping processes in alignment with group finance policies.
· Maintain accurate and timely financial records in compliance with local accounting standards.
· Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
· Coordinate with external accountants or auditors for financial reviews and local filings.
· Supervise accounting functions and coordinate audits (internal and external).
· Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
· Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
· Manage vendor payment processes, documentation, and scheduling.
· Review financial terms in vendor contracts and ensure adherence to internal controls
2- Statutory Compliance
· Ensure compliance with local tax laws, payroll regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
· Support the preparation and submission of statutory reports and tax returns in collaboration with local advisors.
· Liaise with regulatory bodies as needed.
3- Budgeting & Financial Reporting
· Assist in preparing the annual budget and periodic forecasts for the local entity.
· Track actuals vs. budget and provide basic variance reports to Group Finance.
· Generate localized financial reports to support management decision-making.
4- Collaboration
· Work closely with Operations, HR, and Legal to ensure financial alignment with business activities.
· Coordinate with the CFO on shared services like FP&A and treasury.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (required)
· Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) are highly preferred
· Strong knowledge of IFRS and local regulatory requirements
· Experience with ERP systems and financial tools
· 7+ years of progressive finance experience
· Experience in fintech, financial services, or high-growth digital companies is a plus
