Job Purpose:
The FM Engineer will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all facilities-related functions across both hard and soft services. This includes overseeing building systems, managing vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, leading procurement processes, and fostering strong community relations to enhance the workplace experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Hard Services Management
- Oversee operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC, generators, elevators, BMS, and fire protection systems.
- Coordinate with technical teams and contractors to ensure timely resolution of faults and breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and building codes.
2. Soft Services Oversight
- Supervise housekeeping, landscaping, pest control, waste management, and security services.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of the facility.
- Implement service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for all soft services.
3. Vendor & Contract Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard service providers and suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure adherence to agreed terms and conditions.
- Monitor vendor performance through audits, feedback, and periodic reviews.
- Manage renewals, terminations, and legal compliance related to vendor contracts.
4. Procurement and Inventory Control
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services as per organizational needs.
- Manage budgets and control costs related to FM operations.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of consumables and spare parts.
- Work closely with finance and procurement departments for compliance and reporting.
5. Community and Workplace Experience Management
- Act as the liaison between facilities management and employees/occupants.
- Address tenant/occupant concerns, feedback, and service requests in a timely manner.
- Organize and support community engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and facility-related events.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe workplace culture.
6. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures.
- Organize safety drills, training, and emergency response procedures.
7. Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and expenses.
- Prepare periodic reports and dashboards on facility performance and operational efficiency.
- Drive initiatives for sustainability, energy savings, and facility upgrades.
- Recommend and implement improvements to FM processes and systems.
Key Skills and Competencies:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in facilities management, with exposure to both hard and soft services
Work Environment:
- Office and site-based environment with routine site inspections
- May require availability for emergency call-outs or weekend duties based on operational needs
