🔹 Key Responsibilities
🔧 Data Pipeline Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
- Automate data ingestion from APIs, databases, flat files, and cloud storage
- Ensure efficient transformation and loading into data warehouses or data lakes
🏗️ Data Warehousing & Architecture
- Create and optimize data warehouse schemas (star/snowflake models)
- Model and document data structures for efficient reporting and querying
- Integrate data from CRM, ERP, and analytics tools
✅ Data Quality & Governance
- Implement validation, deduplication, and anomaly detection
- Monitor pipeline health and ensure data integrity
- Enforce data governance, access control, and compliance (e.g., GDPR)
🤝 Collaboration & Business Alignment
- Work closely with analysts, data scientists, and software engineers
- Translate business needs into technical data solutions
- Communicate with stakeholders to align on data goals
🚀 Performance Tuning
- Optimize SQL queries and data workflows
- Tune infrastructure (Airflow, Spark, BigQuery) for speed and efficiency
- Profile and refactor slow pipelines
🔹 Tools & Technologies
- Programming: Python, SQL
- Pipelines: Apache Airflow, Kafka
- Data Warehousing: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
🔹 Qualifications
🎓 Education:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
📈 Experience
2–5+ years in data engineering or software development roles, with proven experience building production-grade data pipelines
🧠 Skills & Competencies
- Technical: Advanced SQL, ETL/ELT, data modeling, cloud platforms, big data tools, logging/monitoring
- Soft Skills: Problem-solving, communication, team collaboration, attention to detail, time management
