Arab Drugstore Company is seeking to hire a talented Senior Cost Accountant.
Job Summary:
The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for overseeing cost accounting operations, ensuring accurate product costing, analyzing variances, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cost accounting within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and analyze cost accounting data to ensure accurate product costing.
- Develop and monitor standard costs and update them as necessary.
- Conduct cost variance analysis and report on key cost drivers.
- Coordinate with the production, procurement, and inventory teams to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing related to cost accounting.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing detailed cost data.
- Prepare reports for management and make recommendations for cost improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in ERP 360 systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
