Role Description
As we prepare for launch, BurjX is looking for a QA Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of our institutional-grade crypto trading platform. Based in Amman, this is an on-site position where you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of our institutional-grade crypto trading platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks for functional, performance, and API testing.
- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, write test cases, and manage defect tracking and resolution.
- Perform detailed UI testing to validate functionality and ensure a seamless, intuitive user experience across platforms.
- Collaborate with DevOps to optimize CI/CD integration for automated testing pipelines.
- Perform performance, stress, and stability testing using tools like JMeter, Locust, or Gatling.
- Participate in product architecture discussions and contribute to system design from a QA perspective.
- Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and drive quick resolution of quality issues.
- Stay up to date on the latest testing tools and trends and implement improvements to ensure continuous quality.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance/test development, preferably within trading or fintech environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Go, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience with automation testing tools like Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework, TestNG, or pytest.
- Solid knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, JMeter) and database testing (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with performance and load testing using tools like JMeter, Locust, or Gatling.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical thinking and debugging skills with a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first approach.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing high-concurrency, large-scale systems or exchanges.
- Familiarity with security testing and containerized testing environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Previous involvement in building internal QA/testing platforms or tools.
- Open-source contributions or experience writing technical blogs.
