Job Title: Senior QA Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in automation testing for web and mobile applications. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about driving software quality, with expertise in test automation frameworks, API testing, and performance testing. Experience in the insurance sector or with InsurTech companies is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Perform comprehensive API testing to validate backend services and integrations.
- Conduct performance and load testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify, track, and resolve software defects.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD test automation pipelines to streamline deployments.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and data protection standards (GDPR, PCI DSS, etc.).
- Document and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
- Provide in-depth quality assurance reports to promote continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Strong knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with insurance domain testing, including policy issuance, claims processing, underwriting, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with insurance IT systems: policy administration, billing, customer portals, risk assessment, and fraud detection platforms.
- Knowledge of compliance-driven testing for insurance regulations (GDPR, PCI DSS, IFRS 17, etc.).
- Exposure to AI-driven testing tools and advanced automation frameworks.
- Understanding of insurance data security challenges: legacy system integrations, encryption, secure data storage.
- Security compliance testing experience (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.).
