Position Summary
We are seeking an expert integration engineer to design, build and operate secure APIs and enterprise integrations, including connections to national government platforms, payment gateways and public-service systems, and to support the integration needs of AI projects. The role goes beyond building endpoints: it covers leading complex integrations from design through production and handover.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver secure internal and external integration patterns with documented API contracts, agreed with system owners.
- Lead technical changes for government integration platforms, payment gateways and public-service platforms.
- Build and review .NET/C# APIs and integration components, managing compatibility, payload mappings and authentication.
- Resolve complex failures: payment retries, duplicate callbacks, reconciliation, timeouts and external outages.
- Review the mid-level engineer's work, coordinate with QA and DevOps, and define integration acceptance evidence.
- Deliver source, configuration, API documentation, operating guidance and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
Essential
- Relevant bachelor's degree (CS, information systems, software engineering) or equivalent.
- Substantial production experience designing APIs and enterprise integrations, with hands-on C#/.NET.
- Strong grasp of API security, contracts/versioning, data mapping and resilient integration behavior, with the ability to justify trade-offs.
- Proven lead of a complex integration through design, testing, production and handover.
- Able to investigate failures from logs and transaction traces, review code and explain architecture to technical and business audiences.
Preferred
- Government or national-platform integrations, API-management platforms, regulated services
- Payment processing, reconciliation and monitoring
- Arabic stakeholder communication
- Connecting enterprise APIs to AI applications or automation workflows
