Accountabilities and Key Roles:
- Manage the delivery of IFRS 9 ECL Calculations, Credit Analytics and Regulatory Reporting across AB Group entities, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely completion.
- Review ECL Results, Credit Risk Analytics and Model Outputs, monitor portfolio movements and support model performance, validation and enhancement activities.
- Manage the delivery of Credit Analytics Projects and the Digital Transformation initiatives within the Credit Analytics and ECL function.
- Manage requirements gathering based on business processes review and gap analysis in coordination with business stakeholders, and Evaluate proposed solutions and prototypes.
- Lead Automation and process improvement initiatives across IFRS9 ECL, Credit Reporting and Analytics to improve efficiency and avoid manual intervention.
- Lead data analysis and SQL-based data extraction, including the development and review of complex SQL queries to source, analyze, reconcile, and validate Credit, IFRS 9 ECL, and regulatory data.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify data quality issues, portfolio trends, ECL movements, exceptions and key credit risk indicators, providing actionable insights to support management decision-making.
- Coordinate data sourcing, validation, reconciliation and data quality activities required for IFRS 9 ECL, credit analytics and regulatory reporting.
- Manage the development and delivery of Credit Dashboards, Analytical Reports and Power BI solutions to provide actionable insights for Credit monitoring and decision-making.
- Manage UAT, System Enhancements and Implementation Activities related to IFRS 9, Credit Analytics and reporting platforms.
- Coordinate with Credit, Risk, Finance, IT, Data Engineering and other stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of analytical solutions and data requirements.
- Support internal and external audit, regulatory and assurance activities, ensuring timely and accurate responses and effective closure of observations.
- Provide Technical Guidance, Coaching and Quality Review to Credit Advanced Analytics Specialists and ensure adherence to approved methodologies and standards.
- Monitor assigned deliverables, priorities, risks and dependencies and escalate significant issues to the Head of Credit Advanced Analytics.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Accurate, complete and timely delivery of IFRS 9 ECL, credit analytics and regulatory reporting.
- Quality and effectiveness of data analysis, SQL queries, dashboards and analytical reporting.
- Successful delivery of automation, system enhancements and assigned projects within agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Effective team performance, stakeholder coordination and adherence to IFRS 9 methodology, regulatory requirements and internal governance policies.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Graduate degree in Business, IT, Finance, Statistics or any related field from a recognized university.
- Professional certification in IFRS 9, Data Analytics , Business Analysis or Project Management is an advantage.
Experience:
- 7-8 years of relevant experience in banking or consulting, preferably covering IFRS 9, Credit Risk Analytics, Data Analytics or Regulatory Reporting.
Competencies:
- Strong experience in Credit Analytics and IFRS 9.
- Strong technical skills in SQL, Data Analysis, visualization, and story-telling.
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Strong background in credit and accounting
- Excellent interpersonal and group oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong work discipline and ability to work under pressure
- Advanced working knowledge of BI tools
