Role Description
CTI Distribution is hiring Junior and Senior PHP Developers to help design, develop, and maintain a custom inventory ERP system for our international wholesale and distribution operations.
The system will support inventory management, purchasing, sales, accounting, warehouse operations, product costing, and management reporting. Candidates should have PHP development experience and a practical understanding of ERP workflows and basic accounting concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ERP modules using PHP and Laravel.
- Translate operational and accounting requirements into reliable software features.
- Build modules for purchasing, sales, inventory, warehouses, accounting, and reporting.
- Support serial-number and IMEI-level inventory tracking.
- Develop workflows for inventory receipts, transfers, sales, returns, adjustments, and physical counts.
- Support product-costing, landed-cost, COGS, and inventory-valuation functionality.
- Design and optimize database structures and queries.
- Develop and maintain APIs and integrations with external systems.
- Create clear, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces.
- Test, troubleshoot, document, and improve existing functionality.
- Maintain data accuracy, system security, access controls, and audit trails.
- Work closely with accounting, inventory, warehouse, sales, and management teams.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
- Assist with system deployment, user support, and continuous improvement.
Required Technical Skills
- PHP and Laravel
- MySQL or another relational database
- REST APIs and third-party integrations
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive interfaces
- Git and version-control workflows
- Database design and query optimization
- Software testing, troubleshooting, and documentation
- Understanding of application security and role-based permissions
Preferred Experience
- Previous development of an ERP, inventory, accounting, warehouse, or e-commerce system
- Understanding of purchasing, sales, inventory, and warehouse workflows
- Familiarity with accounting concepts such as debits and credits, journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory valuation, COGS, and landed cost
- Experience tracking serialized products, IMEIs, or other unique product identifiers
- Experience with cloud hosting, queues, scheduled tasks, reporting tools, or data imports
- Experience integrating payment, shipping, accounting, or marketplace systems
Junior Developer Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- At least one year of PHP or Laravel development experience preferred
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases
- Ability to learn ERP processes and accounting concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Senior Developer Qualifications
- At least five years of professional software-development experience
- Strong PHP, Laravel, MySQL, API, and system-architecture skills
- Experience designing or leading complex ERP, inventory, accounting, or business-management systems
- Ability to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Experience reviewing code and mentoring junior developers
- Strong understanding of database performance, security, auditability, and system reliability
