About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Backend Engineer to join our team and grow with us while contributing to the design and development of our backend systems. You will work closely with senior engineers to build reliable services, while continuing to develop your technical skills in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining backend services using Node.js and NestJS
- Support the design and implementation of database schemas using PostgreSQL
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging application issues
- Continuously learn and stay up to date with backend best practices and new technologies
Qualifications
- 1+ years of professional experience in backend development
- Working knowledge of Node.js and NestJS (or similar frameworks)
- Basic to intermediate experience working with PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with AWS services is a plus (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.)
- Understanding of RESTful API design principles
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Basic understanding of software architecture and design patterns
- Strong willingness to learn and grow technically
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
