Role Overview
The Marketing Development Representative is responsible for managing and qualifying inbound marketing leads, engaging potential customers, and converting qualified opportunities into sales meetings. The role serves as a key link between marketing and sales, helping improve lead quality, follow-up effectiveness, and campaign performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns and digital channels.
- Contact and qualify prospects based on defined criteria, business needs, and purchasing potential.
- Engage prospects through phone calls, email, social media, and other communication channels.
- Understand prospects’ requirements and maintain accurate records of all interactions.
- Schedule qualified meetings and assign opportunities to the appropriate Account Executives.
- Ensure timely and consistent follow-up with leads throughout the qualification process.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing and sales teams to improve lead conversion and campaign outcomes.
- Track and report on lead volume, quality, response rates, and conversion performance.
- Identify trends, challenges, and recurring feedback from prospects.
- Recommend improvements to campaigns, targeting, messaging, and lead-generation activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead information within the CRM system.
Requirements
- Minimum of one-year relevant experience.
- Degree in a related field (Business Administration / logistics).
- Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Critical-thinking, problem-solving, and qualification skills.
- Ability to adapt communication based on different prospect needs and business situations.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and comfortable working toward performance targets.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable using digital tools, social media platforms, and communication technologies.
- Previous experience with CRM systems is preferred.
- Experience in lead generation, customer service, telemarketing, marketing, or sales development is an advantage.
