Job Description & Summary
As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for executing risk-based internal audit assignments, evaluating internal controls, and identifying opportunities to strengthen governance, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization.
This role is designed for an analytical and detail-oriented professional who can independently lead audit engagements, assess business risks, and provide practical recommendations that support continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Planning and executing risk-based internal audit assignments in accordance with the approved annual audit plan.
Supporting the preparation of the annual risk assessment and contributing to the development of the internal audit plan.
Conducting operational, financial, and compliance audits across various business functions.
Evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls and identifying risks, control gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
Ensuring business operations comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
Performing audit testing, documenting findings, and assessing the impact and significance of identified risks.
Preparing comprehensive audit working papers and maintaining complete audit documentation.
Finalizing audit reports within agreed timelines and presenting findings and recommendations to management.
Reporting significant control weaknesses, fraud indicators, policy violations, and operational risks to the Audit Director.
Monitoring the implementation of agreed corrective actions and following up on audit recommendations.
Providing management with practical recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, internal controls, and risk management practices.
Collaborating with department heads to ensure key business risks are identified, assessed, and effectively managed.
Participating in special reviews, investigations, and ad hoc audit assignments as required.
Preparing management reports, analyses, and presentations to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk Management, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA are considered an advantage.
Comprehensive Knowledge of
Fluent English and Arabic – written and spoken.
Internal auditing standards and risk-based auditing methodologies.
Accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
Internal control frameworks and corporate governance practices.
ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Business processes, financial controls, and compliance requirements.
