What your work will look like (and the impact you will have)
In practice, you will build and deliver components that hold systems together: you will develop fast and reliable REST APIs for system integrations, write clean, secure, and maintainable code, and actively contribute to improving the stack. You will work in an agile team with a flat structure and real ownership, where code reviews, performance optimization, and solving technical challenges are part of the team’s healthy routine. Additionally, you will contribute to technical documentation and play an important role in influencing architecture and quality standards, ensuring the delivered solutions remain scalable over time.
What we are looking for
We expect you to have at least 5 years of experience in PHP development and a strong foundation in OOP, with practical experience using common design patterns. It is important to understand scalable architecture and service-oriented systems, have experience working with MySQL and/or NoSQL, and be familiar with REST APIs, documentation tools (Swagger or similar), and AMQP (for example, RabbitMQ). We also value experience with monitoring and logging tools (such as Grafana or similar), the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment, and strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Experience working on eCommerce projects is a plus. Additionally, we expect you to effectively use AI tools that help you deliver faster and better (debugging, investigations, development workflow). A degree in Computer Science is appreciated, but what matters most is technical depth and delivery quality in a constantly evolving environment.
Nice to have
If you have experience with Symfony (or similar modern PHP frameworks), a good understanding of security practices (e.g., OWASP principles), exposure to cloud environments (AWS), experience optimizing complex queries, building or maintaining Composer packages, or exposure to microservices, CI/CD, and Docker, you will ramp up faster and be able to contribute at an architectural level. These are not mandatory but are highly valuable.
What we offer
We want you to have an environment where you feel supported and can perform well long-term. In addition to a fair and transparent compensation package, we offer meal vouchers, a medical subscription (within our partner network), a day off on your birthday, additional vacation days based on seniority, and a loyalty bonus that recognizes long-term contribution and commitment. You will have access to Bookster, plus benefits through our partnerships with Lensa and Samsung Club (discounts/advantages, according to active offers). We also invest in your development through continuous learning and support, in a friendly, collaborative, and results-oriented environment.
Recruitment process
We prefer a short and clear process: a phone discussion (15–20 min), followed by an interview with the hiring manager and a short simulation/case study, and if there is a mutual fit, we move directly to the offer stage.
