Job Summary:
Mawasem is a leading franchise holding group in Jordan, managing a diverse portfolio of international brands across Fashion, F&B, health and beauty, and Home Furnishings.
Mawasem is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee the operational performance of our fast-food restaurant business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing multi-unit restaurant operations, driving profitability, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring consistent operational excellence across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple restaurant branches to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable performance.
- Develop and execute operational strategies that support the company's growth objectives and business plans.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, profitability, labor cost, food cost, productivity, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and evaluate Area Managers, Restaurant Managers, and restaurant teams to build a high-performance culture.
- Ensure consistent implementation of company SOPs, brand standards, and operational policies across all branches.
- Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue generation.
- Analyze financial reports, P&L statements, budgets, and operational data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Manage labor scheduling and workforce planning to maximize productivity while controlling labor costs.
- Oversee inventory management, purchasing, stock control, and waste reduction to improve profitability.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, HACCP, hygiene, health, and local regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular operational audits and restaurant visits to ensure quality, service, cleanliness, and safety standards are consistently achieved.
- Collaborate with HR on recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Partner with Marketing and Supply Chain teams to support promotions, new product launches, and operational readiness.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices to enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer escalations professionally and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in restaurant operations, with at least 3 years in a multi-unit Operations Manager role within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or Fast Food industry.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant financial management, budgeting, P&L analysis, labor management, and cost control.
- Proven experience in leading large operational teams across multiple locations.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational and financial data.
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP, quality assurance, and operational compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant POS/reporting systems.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
