Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer / Cloud Security Engineer to join our engineering team in Amman.
You will be responsible for designing, building, securing, and managing the cloud infrastructure that powers iDoc's healthcare ecosystem. Working closely with Backend, Flutter, QA, and Product teams, you will ensure our cloud platform is scalable, secure, reliable, and optimized for performance.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, cloud security, and modern DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Build scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.
- Manage Kubernetes (GKE) clusters and containerized applications.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
- Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
- Monitor cloud infrastructure, system performance, and application health.
- Optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement disaster recovery and high-availability strategies.
- Apply cloud security best practices, including IAM, networking, encryption, and compliance.
- Configure and manage networking components, including VPCs, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and VPNs.
- Collaborate closely with Backend, Flutter, QA, and Product teams to support software delivery.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues while continuously improving platform reliability.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5–8+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Cloud Security.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience managing Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and containerized workloads.
- Strong knowledge of Docker.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPCs, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and VPNs.
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Experience with Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and observability tools.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including IAM, OAuth, Zero Trust, encryption, and secure access management.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

- AWS or Microsoft Azure experience.

- Cloud cost optimization.
- Experience in Healthcare, Telemedicine, FinTech, ERP, or other regulated industries.
- Security certifications (Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP, Security+, or similar).
