Abdin Industrial Company is a leading manufacturer and supplier of refrigeration equipment, kitchen equipment, and shelving units, delivering turnkey solutions for supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, and cafés across the Middle East and the United States of America.
As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for a qualified Purchasing & Logistics Officer to join our team and support our operations by ensuring efficient purchasing processes, smooth supply continuity, and effective coordination of logistics activities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Create purchase orders, complete all related information on the system, and send them to suppliers
prepare and maintain accurate purchasing records
Assist in preparing payment transfer and coordinate with the Finance Department
Send SWIFT payment confirmations to suppliers and follow up on delivery schedules
Register materials on the system and update all related technical information
Inform the department manager of purchasing requisitions and prepare summary reports for all purchase orders
Maintain proper archiving of purchasing documents, both physically and electronically
Update supplier database and maintain accurate supplier records
Request and evaluate price quotations for bids and sales requirements
Request freight quotations and compare shipping options to optimize costs
Prepare and organize all required customs clearance documentation
Coordinate with the warehouse team to identify shortages or discrepancies upon receiving goods
Ensure timely insurance arrangements for purchase orders and coordinate invoice processing with the Finance Department
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration or any related field
Preferred minimum 2 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Logistics
Proficiency in English is required
Ability to compare quotations and evaluate purchasing options effectively
Good understanding of purchasing procedures and inventory management
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems is considered an advantage
