The Position
Tender & Supply Chain Business Partner, Iraq
Purpose
We are seeking an agile, strategic Tender & Supply Chain Business Partner to act as a trusted co-pilot for our Iraq market. In this role, you will go beyond traditional logistics management.
As Tender and Supply Chain Business Partner, you will partner closely with local, regional, and global teams as well as external distributors and public stakeholders to co-create seamless supply chain strategies and maximize our private and public tender success. You are the ultimate bridge connecting our commercial ambition with operational excellence.
Your responsibilities
1- Supply Chain & Inventory Optimization
- Demand Planning: Partner closely with internal stakeholders and distributors to review, phase, and discuss demand forecasts to ensure target alignment
- Logistics & Shipments: Manage planned forecasts with precise delivery phasing; communicate schedule updates transparently to HQ Supply Chain
- Stock Management: Oversee inventory health effectively, including authorizing stock adjustments, monitoring expiry dates, and tracking CDI (Inventory Days)
- Order Management: Manage Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) from local agents in close coordination with Global HQ
- Warehouse Readiness Alignment: Stay closely aligned with global quality teams to monitor the readiness of distributor warehouses
2- End-to-End Tender Management
- Full Lifecycle Oversight: Drive continuous follow-up on public tenders from initial announcements through to contract signatures, delivery phasing, and final execution
- Stakeholder Alignment: Secure all required internal approvals before tender submission
- KIMADIA Liaison: Manage all communications regarding tender quotations, final awards, and necessary contract amendments. Ensure unloading reports are promptly secured from KIMADIA
- Financial Validation & Commercial Excellence
- Financial Stewardship: Act as an active guardian of both the flow of goods and the flow of money. Partner with the Finance Department to track deliveries, secure invoice payments, validate penalties, etc..
- Data & Analytics: Establish a systematic way to analyze logistical challenges / opportunities through data-driven frameworks, allowing us to identify structural white spaces and deliver insightful, periodic reports to key stakeholders
- Cross-Functional Partnership & Integration & Compliance
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner proactively with all relevant internal stakeholders—including Regulatory, Quality, Finance, Pricing, Compliance, etc. to align on supply strategies, resolve logistical bottlenecks, and ensure seamless market readiness
- Compliance, Governance & Role Ambassadorship
- Ambassador Representation: Build a stellar reputation for your role by monitoring the performance and ensuring internal/external partners view the department as a trusted strategic ally
- Corporate Governance: Adhere strictly to corporate business principles, local and global policies, and health and safety requirements at all times
- Auditable Documentation: Establish a systematic approach to record-keeping, ensuring foolproof documentation is in place for every operational step taken and decision made
Who You Are
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration. An MBA or higher business degree is an advantage
- You possess a demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management, with a proven track record in handling complex public tenders (Iraq experience highly preferred)
- You bring a commercial acumen and basic knowledge of financial indicators
- You exhibit exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills
- You showcase system thinking and proactiveness.
- You possess excellent communication and influencing skills.
- You are fluent in both Arabic and English
