Job Description:
We are hiring a talented Custody Officer - Crypto professional to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full custody lifecycle of client virtual assets (deposits, transfers, withdrawals, settlements).
- Oversee wallet architecture, including client, omnibus, quarantine, and hot/warm/cold storage.
- Perform daily three-way reconciliations across internal records, custodian, and blockchain.
- Manage the external custodian relationship, including SLAs, incidents, and performance.
- Implement key management protocols (multi-sig, rotation, backup/recovery, access control).
- Coordinate with compliance on flagged transactions and quarantine procedures.
- Maintain contingency plans for custody-related risks and disruptions.
- Ensure strict segregation of client and company assets.
- Support asset listings by assessing custody feasibility.
- Report custody metrics, reconciliation status, and incidents to management and the Board.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 2+ years of direct crypto custody experience (non-negotiable).
- Hands-on experience with key management, multi-sig wallets, and asset reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals and major networks (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum).
- Knowledge of custody regulations and client asset segregation principles.
- BitGo experience preferred.
- Must meet JSC Fit & Proper criteria and obtain accreditation.
