Role Summary:
We are looking for a Procurement Officer with solid experience in local and international purchasing within the food manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices and contracts, following up on purchase orders and shipments, and ensuring the timely availability of materials and services required for operations. The ideal candidate should have excellent English communication skills and hands-on experience using SAP system.
Responsibilities:
- Handle local and international procurement activities for raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts, and operational requirements.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery time, and reliability.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency.
- Prepare purchase orders and follow up on approvals and deliveries through SAP system.
- Coordinate with warehouses, finance, production, and other departments to ensure smooth purchasing operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
- Follow up on import shipments, customs clearance, and related documentation when needed.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing reports.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Conduct market research and monitor market trends and supplier performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement within food manufacturing companies.
- Experience in both local and international purchasing.
- Excellent command of English language.
- Hands-on experience with SAP system.
