Position Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
I- Vulnerability Management
▪ Plan, execute, and manage internal Vulnerability Assessments (VA) on Software Applications, Web Applications, Mobile Applications, Application Servers, Web Servers, Mobile Gateways and Mobile Applications Servers.
▪ Analyze scan and test results, identify risks, and prioritize remediation actions.
▪ Prepare detailed technical and executive security reports.
▪ Coordination with IT and development teams regarding findings and coding practices.
2- Penetration Testing
▪ Plan and perform Penetration Tests (PT) – (infrastructure and application level) on Software Applications, Web Applications, Mobile Applications, Application Servers, Web Servers, Mobile Gateways and Mobile Applications Servers.
▪ Analyze scan and test results, identify risks, and prioritize remediation actions.
▪ Prepare detailed technical and executive security reports.
▪ Coordination with IT and development teams regarding findings and coding practices.
3- Static Analysis and Code Review
▪ Perform Static Application Security Testing (SAST) using industry-standard tools.
▪ Identify common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, insecure coding patterns, logic flaws).
▪ Work closely with development teams to guide secure coding practices and validate fixes.
4- Secure Development & Best practices
▪ Define and enforce secure coding guidelines and security standards to development teams and IT.
▪ Provide security inputs during system and application design phases.
▪ Support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines by integrating security checks where applicable.
5- Security Awareness and Secure Development Training.
▪ Conduct regular security awareness sessions for development teams focusing on secure coding practices.
▪ Educate developers on common vulnerabilities such as OWASP Top 10 and how to prevent them.
▪ Act as a security advisor for development teams during design and implementation phases.
6- Assist IT team in implementing, managing and supporting the organization’s Bitdefender EDR system, monitor endpoint security alerts, detections, and incidents. And investigate suspicious activities and potential malware or ransomware events. And any other security solution when required.
7- Assist IT team with incident investigation and root-cause analysis when required.
8- Periodic Security Scanning & Exposure Management
▪ Perform periodic external vulnerability scans for our public IPs and Published services.
▪ Perform periodic internal vulnerability scans for our internal servers, systems and internal IPs.
▪ Identify exposed services, misconfigurations, and security weaknesses.
▪ Track findings and remediation progress.
Qualifications
Required Competencies :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in security operations, application security, DevSecOps, or infrastructure security within a software or technology environment.
- Hands-on experience in security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and common attack techniques.
- Experience with security monitoring and incident response tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS).
- Experience using vulnerability scanning and assessment tools.
- Knowledge of secure CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern application architectures.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure communication protocols.
- Scripting or automation skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly communicate security risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with development, DevOps, and IT teams.
- Security certifications (Security+, CEH, SSCP, or similar) are a plus.
- Experience in SaaS or large-scale software product environments is an advantage.
- Exposure to security frameworks and best practices (NIST, CIS) is preferred.
