Accountabilities and Key Roles:
- Participate in continuous review & improvement of corporate credit risk management in line with the Bank’s overall strategy/risk appetite and Basel II and its related regulatory requirements.
- Participate in periodic review corporate credit risk management policies and standards and key Credit Risk parameters in coordination with credit function.
- Participate in periodic portfolio reviews & stress-testing & measure impact of corporate Credit exposure on the Bank/ Group’s capital.
- Participate in reviewing the credit rating methodology proposed by Credit function
- Participate in reviewing tools to identify, measure and monitor corporate credit risk management.
- Participate in testing the credit model & methodology on annual basis, and recommend changes to risk parameters & methodology
- Prepare periodic portfolio/sub-portfolio reviews and stress testing and measure impact of credit exposure on the Bank/Group’s capital against originally set/approved guidelines.
- Participate in reviewing the Bank’s aggregate corporate credit risk limits to reflect the Bank’s risk appetite/strategy in accordance with Credit and relevant business functions
- Participate in reviewing new corporate credit products and changes to existing ones as part of the New Product Development process
- Participate in the efforts of implementing Basel II requirements related to corporate credit.
- Participate in corporate credit risk management and Basel II awareness across the Bank.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Risk Management or relevant field from a recognized university.
- PRM/FRM or relevant professional certification in risk management is a plus.
Experience:
- +5 years of experience in Corporate Banking or Credit with an international bank with exposure to emerging markets, of which 2 years in a Risk Management or Credit Senior position role.
Competencies:
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Advanced mathematical, analytical, modeling and PC skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with senior management.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Solid knowledge of lending practices, tools, & Basel II requirements.
