Role Purpose:
The Business Development & Technical Liaison Manager will be responsible for driving business growth across renewable energy markets by building strategic relationships with developers, EPC contractors, government entities, and funding organizations.
This role combines commercial development expertise with technical knowledge to position the company’s portfolio of solar panels, inverters, cabling, and energy storage solutions to key stakeholders. The candidate will also serve as a technical-commercial bridge between global OEM partners and regional clients, ensuring solutions are aligned with project requirements, regulatory standards, and market needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the UAE, GCC, and Africa in renewable energy (solar PV, storage, inverters, and cabling solutions).
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, EPC contractors, government agencies, and corporate clients.
- Develop proposals, bids, and presentations to support project acquisition.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and client meetings.
- Support registration and qualification processes with government utilities, developers (e.g., Masdar), and funding organizations.
Technical Liaison
- Act as the key point of contact between global OEM partners (Longi, Huawei, Sungrow, Canadian Solar, Pylontech, etc.) and regional clients.
- Provide technical guidance on product selection, system design considerations, and integration into renewable energy projects.
- Review client technical requirements and align them with product specifications and OEM offerings.
- Conduct product training and technical workshops for clients and internal teams.
Strategy & Market Development
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regional energy policies to identify new opportunities.
- Support the management team in strategic planning for market expansion into new geographies and sectors.
- Prepare commercial and technical documentation for tenders, RFPs, and investor presentations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy); MBA is an advantage.
- 3–7 years’ experience in renewable energy business development, preferably with exposure to solar PV, BESS, and inverters.
- Proven track record of liaising with developers, EPCs, and government utilities in the region.
- Strong understanding of solar panels, inverters, cabling, and energy storage solutions.
- Familiarity with UAE/GCC renewable energy market and government qualification processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel within the Middle East and Africa.
