Job Overview
The CloudOps Engineer is responsible for managing, maintaining, and automating cloud-based systems to ensure seamless service delivery and high system availability. This role involves deploying cloud solutions, implementing system upgrades, supporting the client’s products, and applying DevOps practices to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), Linux administration, containerization, and automation tools, with a focus on continuous improvement and reliability.
- Implement regular system upgrades to improve service continuity and enhance the user experience.
- Execute predefined practices and processes to optimize user access efficiency.
- Prepare and install client releases according to established procedures.
- Deploy and manage various AWS services used by the client to automate and manage Cloud products.
- Develop and implement automation scripts for DevOps-related tasks.
- Administer Linux operating systems, including upgrades, maintenance, backups, and system hardening.
- Manage and maintain ECS deployment systems.
- Support and monitor the client’s products and processes to ensure optimal performance.
- Apply supervisor feedback and recommendations accurately and effectively.
- Communicate project status and ensure compliance with established standards.
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in DevOps, SecOps, or CloudOps roles.
- Basic knowledge of database installation, configuration, and performance tuning (preferably Oracle or PostgreSQL).
- Basic understanding of networking and security concepts.
- Good knowledge of cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS.
- Basic to good understanding of ECS and containerization (Docker) concepts.
- Basic to good experience with automation tools and scripting.
- AWS certifications are a plus.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
