Shipping Officer

The candidate for this position will excel at negotiating deals & the terms of the contract. By using their in-depth market analysis. This person will use their expertise & market knowledge in following up with the local economic trends to highlight new opportunities.

Responsibilities:

1. Handling Ship Agency Matters from crew affairs, spare parts, repairs and equipment servicing, customs clearance & liaison with regulatory authorities when needed.


2. Establish market reports to develop the trade to increase the market share.


3. Coordinating Vessel Calls by ensuring that the productivity targets are met while keeping owners aware of the total sequence of events during the vessel call.


4. Estimating port expenses by pre-identifying the vessel's needs and related costs.


5. Expand control to manage risks by following procedures and maintaining standards.


6. Conduct frequent client meetings.


7. Analyze the freight market.

Minimum Requirements/ Qualifications:

• 
  Educational Level: Bachelor’s Degree/ Logistics & Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or any related field.
  


• Job-Related Experience: 3-5 years of experience.


• English Language: Excellent.


• Interpersonal Skills: Very good communication skills, high level of confidence, ability to work under pressure, negotiation & problem-solving.
