Role Overview
Mstart is seeking a Network Engineer to join our IT team in Amman. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and performance of our IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a solid background in network engineering and system administration, along with strong scripting and monitoring capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain application and network security solutions.
- Monitor and enhance the performance, availability, and security of systems.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and compliance procedures.
- Proactively identify and mitigate security risks and respond to incidents.
- Administer and secure network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
- Write and manage automation scripts using Python and Bash.
- Troubleshoot and resolve security and infrastructure-related issues.
- Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Cacti, wazuh, Nagios, Graylog) for real-time visibility.
- Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux Server environments.
- Collaborate with teams to implement and support secure IT architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience in Application Security, Network Security, and Cybersecurity frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
- Strong experience managing Windows Server and Linux Server operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and automation tools.
- Excellent understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge is required.
- MCSA certification or equivalent Windows Server administration experience is preferred.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
