The Role

Reporting to the Regional Manager, driving the day-to-day operations of the Rental Service operations and staff to continuously improve customer satisfaction and service results. Leading a team of qualified service technicians is a hands-on role that requires a high level of motivation and strong leadership skills. 24/7 support to service technicians and customers is required.

• Oversee the daily operations of a team of experienced field service engineers by providing leadership, development, and coaching support resulting in a motivated team
• Develop and support a culture of open communication, fairness, and respect for individuals in all operational areas.
• Focus on continuously enhancing a customer-care-driven culture to improve rental and service responses and achieve operational excellence.
• Drive quality process improvements with an emphasis on safety, operations, and customer service. Collaborate with other departments and the service & sales team to achieve better results.
• Emphasize continuous improvement in digital solutions for customer communications and relations, and focus on innovation, automation, connectivity, and digitalization to optimize processes for maximum efficiency.
• Effectively manage and coordinate all service activities and resources, ensuring service and maintenance standards for the rental fleet are maintained at the highest practical level.
• Plan and organize daily and weekly visit schedules, oversee service function costs, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain productivity control and minimize work progress delays. Handle guarantee and warranty matters for hire fleet equipment, provide monthly service performance reports, and ensure the Rental service team's technical knowledge and skill levels are maintained at the highest relevant levels.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers, recommend and manage parts stocking for hire fleet equipment, and assist the finance department with follow-ups for parts and service-related invoices.
• Conduct weekly meetings with the Service Team (toolbox discussions) and occasionally meet with customers as necessary.
• Be prepared for occasional overnight travel on short notice and supervise installation progress through frequent site visits when applicable.
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, participate in the call-out rotation of Service Engineers, and commit to an “exceptional service" philosophy throughout.

What we expect of you?

• Comprehensive Knowledge: Familiarity with Atlas Copco rental products and related equipment, such as pneumatic controlled desiccant dryers.
• Technical Expertise: Experience with various engines, electronic engine and compressor modules, and controls.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in AI Tools, Microsoft Applications and General Computer Literacy.
• Educational Background: A degree in Engineering, Mechanics, or a related field, and relevant experience.
• Effective Communicator: Excellent communication skills in English.
• Team-oriented: A dedicated team player who values collaboration.
• Energetic and Driven: High levels of energy and motivation.
• Customer Focus: Ability to interact effectively with customers at all levels professionally.
